Chapter 1 - Homitage

Also, a little information. The next book is coming up nicely. Already around 15k words, second chapter is almost finished. It is going to be a killer! Trust me at least on this one.

Character Spotlight - Janine

Janine is one wild girl and hails from a small village near Homitage. She was saved by Kane after a group of bandits had killed off most of the towns people and enslaved the young women. She falls in love with Kane, it growing by minute. Too much love is never healthy.  How will her obsession with him turn out?

A little artwork/Character spotlight: Alpha

Kane on the left and Alpha on the right. A little about Alpha. He is half of Kane's soul, the good part that was taken from Kane himself. Alpha has a strong sense of justice, but that often is the problem as Kane tends to be chaotic. Alpha isn't afraid to say what he thinks or fight Kane if he is wrong. Where will that bring them?

Character spotlight - Kane

Now a little bit about the main character, Kane.

As a little kid he was left by his parents to fend for himself on the streets where he grew up on. Unknown to him, just before his parents had left him, they had put the soul of an ancient demon inside of his body, hence the split personality and the urge for chaos and destruction. The every day struggle to keep his humanity is a tough one, just how will he fare in the long run?

''Is that your wolf?'' One of the guards asked, stepping a meter closer than the others. He must be the guards captain, but Kane wasn't impressed at the sight of him. He stepped up to the captain and looked into his eyes.

''Yes he is. Any problem with that, captain?'' Kane asked, rather sarcastically. The captain gave him a nasty look, as if talking to a beggar. The fear, however, didn't leave his face and Kane knew it. The anger on the captain's face grew and he looked like he would explode. Luckily for him, he just turned around and waved him off, sticking out his hand, palm down. The universal gesture for bribe. Kane shook his head slightly, took a piece of silver out of his satchel and put it into the captain's hand, closing his hand around the captains and squeezing. Kane was disgusted by the corrupted officials, but he had to play their little game. For a while longer that is.

As Kane and Alpha walked under the castle gate, a busy atmosphere replaced the previous. The streets were full of people, workers, merchants, servants, horses and other animals. Alpha walked up beside Kane and sent  mental note.

''Can i eat them?'' He asked with a hint of anticipation. Kane stopped in his track and stared at Alpha in amazement.

''Ofcourse not! You can't eat just anything you like, you stupid wolf'' Kane yelled.
